Prawns in coconut sauce

Ingredients

(4 People):

  • Salt
  • 500g of peeled prawns
  • 3 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon of black mustard seeds
  • 15/20 curry leaves
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup chopped tomato
  • 1 teaspoon of ground turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon of garam masala
  • 300ml of coconut milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon of ground cayenne pepper
  • lemon juice and salt
PREPARATION
  • We heat a little oil in the pan, add the mustard seeds and let them crackle.
  • Add the curry leaves and onion until the onion is translucent.
  • Add the turmeric, garam masala, and tomato. Mix well and let it cook for 5 minutes.
  • Add the prawns, adjust the salt and let it cook for 2 more minutes.
  • Add the coconut milk, turn up the heat until it boils, and then reduce the heat until the prawns are cooked through.
  • Finally, we add the lemon juice.
  • We serve it hot accompanied by cardamom basmati rice.
